| During the first quarter of 2007, the California Workers' Compensation community has continued to sort out the impact of the reforms of 2003 and 2004. California law-makers introduced thirty-two Workers' Compensation bills for consideration during the 2007/2008 legislative session; the Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) released two significant studies, filed four new sets of regulations, and continued to grapple with the rule making process related to penalties and utilization review enforcement; and the California Supreme Court agreed to hear oral arguments on a case addressing changes related to apportionment. |
