Vice President of Managed Care

Ms. Brainard is responsible for the research, development, implementation and operations of a wide variety of managed care services ranging from Utilization Review, Medical Provider Networks, Return to Work Programs, Oc-Med Programs, and Medical Case Management. She has 20 years of experience in the workers' compensation claims industry. During that time, she obtained experience with joint powers authorities, global issues affecting the public self-insured employer, coordination of industrial and non industrial programs, including review and compliance with ADA, and many other issues falling in the realm of risk management. Devora joined SCRMA in March of 1998.

Devora is certified by the Insurance Education Association as a Workers' Compensation Claims Professional (W.C.C.P.), as well as the Certified Professional Disability Management (C.P.D.M.) and by the Department of Industrial Relations, Self-Insurance Plans as a Worker's Compensation Administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Old Dominion University, attended Virginia Tech and continues her education in the field of insurance by attending workers' compensation classes and seminars on a regular basis.
